In March 2025, Modon Holding partnered with Elsewedy Industrial Development to establish a 10 million sqm industrial zone near Ras El Hekma
Purpose: serve the megaproject with local building-materials production, advanced sustainable supplies, and localised supply chains
Initial anchor partners include Elsewedy Electric, 3S Ready Mix Concrete (Hassan Allam), RAK Ceramics, and Hitech Concrete
Long-term vision: drive industrial innovation, regional exports (e.g., Libya, Europe), and generate 20,000+ permanent jobs alongside broader economic impact
